Dr Thabelo Ramantswana



  • Dr. Thabelo Ramantswana is a Senior Lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand in the School of Construction Economics and Management, where she serves on the leadership team and coordinates undergraduate programmes.

  • She holds a BSc in Town and Regional Planning, a PGDE, an MSc in Town and Regional Planning (Housing), and a PhD in Real Estate from Wits.

  • Her research focuses on corporate real estate, digitilisation in facilities management, housing, and employee well-being.

  • In 2019, she became the first black woman to earn a PhD in real estate at Wits in a decade.

  • Her work enhances academic knowledge and impacts industry practices, inspiring future generations. As an African female academic, she aims to create knowledge and support the development of others, believing that collaboration and creativity lead to meaningful societal change.

  • She is dedicated to helping students succeed despite challenges.
